Maintaining independence in personal care is central to a client’s dignity. Our companions assist with non-medical Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including dressing, grooming, organizing personal items, and reminding clients to drink water or take scheduled breaks for self-care. We respect each client’s capabilities and gently encourage them to do as much as possible while providing help when needed.
This might include selecting appropriate clothing for the weather, helping with hair care, assisting with in and out of chairs, or ensuring personal spaces are organized for easy access. Our role is not clinical but supportive, ensuring clients remain comfortable, clean, and confident in their daily routines.
By balancing assistance with encouragement, we help clients retain their sense of independence while reducing the risk of accidents or neglect.
